The Department of Electrical Engineering at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, established in 2000, is one of the prominent engineering departments in West Bengal offering quality technical education and research opportunities. The department offers a four-year B.Tech in Electrical Engineering program (commenced in 2000) with a current intake of 120 students, and a two-year M.Tech in Power System Engineering program (introduced in 2007) with a current intake of 18 students. Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in 2008 and again in 2022, the Department of Electrical Engineering at Dr. B.C.
